Boats make your life much more interesting and offer you a wider array of activities you can do. If you’re not sure yet how to use your boat outside of a typical cruise or going fishing, then this list of ideas should give you some good inspiration.

Lake Picnic

Take your average park picnic onto the water with your boat! If you’ve got a boat with a spacious deck, you can spread out a picnic blanket and unload a picnic basket full of sandwiches, sodas, chips, and cookies to enjoy a sunny day on the water with a delicious lunch. If you’ve got a boat grill, you can take your picnics up a notch with hot foods like hamburgers, veggie kebabs, and hot dogs.

Movie Night

Put up a white sheet on your boat cabin and get a projector and a set of speakers to turn your boat into a makeshift theater. This will work best at night, so enjoy one of your favorite movies out under the stars with your family. Bring some blankets and popcorn to complete the evening!

Club Meeting

Do you have a club you like to attend that meets at people’s houses? Take your next meeting to a new level by inviting everyone to your boat. Book clubs, board game clubs, knitting circles, and especially birdwatching meetings are made more fun when you bring them aboard your boat.
