Not all Surf systems are created equal

As the sport of wakesurfing continues to grow, the surf systems that boats come equipped with have grown along with it. For the best performance and efficiency, it is important to look at 3 things. 1. Make sure you can weight your boat evenly. When Malibu’s patented surf gate deploys directly from the side of the boat, you are able to redirect the water flow creating a clean faced wave without having to ever lean your boat over. 2. Make sure everyone can sit where they want. Having everyone cram into one corner is never fun and makes for an uncomfortable ride. An evenly weighted boat means no more seating requirements. 3. Make sure you don’t have to lift the boat out of the water. A surf system that relies on trim tabs will lift the back of the boat out of the water which reduces the amount of weight you have. Malibu’s patented Power Wedge II not only adds up to 1500 lbs of simulated ballast, but it also shapes your wave to your rider’s preference. This allows you to displace more water and create much bigger wave with much more push.
